The 2016 Lady Cutler Award

The Children’s Book Council of Australia NSW Branch Inc is pleased to announce that Paul Macdonald has been chosen as the 2016 recipient of the LADY CUTLER AWARD.

Paul Macdonald’s passionate commitment to the promotion of children’s literature has been a feature of his entire adult life. In Paul's professional career he has been a teacher, lecturer and also proprietor of the renowned Children’s Bookshop at Beecroft since January 2005.

Paul’s passion for children and their reading and his dedication to children’s books is contagious. His enthusiasm for authors and illustrators, both emerging and well known and his relationship with publishers knows no bounds. His imagination in devising new ways of promoting books for children is an inspiration, particularly in the current difficult retail environment.

Paul MacDonald received this award in Sydney at the Lady Cutler Dinner held on the evening of Tuesday, November 15, at the Castlereagh Boutique Hotel, Sydney.
