Congratulations to teacher, librarian, teacher-librarian, Dr Heather Fisher who was chosen to receive the prestigious Lady Cutler Award for 2015 for her distinguished service to children’s literature.

Dr Heather Fisher continues in a distinguished career in librarianship that has spanned many years. She has worked as a teacher, librarian, teacher-librarian and is a dedicated volunteer for CBCA NSW and other literary organisations. 

Her general philosophy is to read and discover all about children’s and young adult literature, working with passion and energy to promote this. At all times she has been an advocate for developing programs that connect children and young adults with the right books.

A committed and active member of the New England Sub-branch, Dr Fisher continues to contribute to the programs and development of children’s literature in this regional area. CONGRATULATIONS!
