Thank you to The Painted Willow, our local illustrator for joining us at our Illustrators at Large event. This was a fantastic surprise for all who attended who thoroughly enjoyed seeing your fantastic illustrations and are now equally keen to find your drawings published and on their library shelves in the very near future. Thank you also goes out to the Central Coast Library Service for assisting with a great new space to host our annual event, and to Book Face Erina for giving students the opportunity to buy a copy of our author/illustrator's books to be personally signed on the day.

Our CBCA NSW Short List Event was in May at the Central Coast library in Erina. With our special guest, Paul Macdonald from The Children's Bookshop in Beecroft, the CBCA Central Coast Sub-branch members and their guests enjoyed sharing their connections to this year's CBCA NSW Book of the Year shortlist texts.

With kind donations of some great children's literature, many guests also walked away with some fantastic lucky door book prizes.
