ALOUD Program for Schools and Libraries
We are pleased to announce that ARTS NSW, part of the NSW Department of Arts, Sport and Recreation, has again generously funded this program. ALOUD provides grants for schools and public libraries within NSW to fund author or illustrator talks or workshops. Grants are intended to benefit children who would otherwise not be able to experience an author or illustrator ‘live’, because of economic, cultural or distance disadvantage.
ASLA (NSW) has once again joined the program, contributing an additional $5000 in each of our two rounds, especially for schools or libraries who have ASLA membership and whose particular problem is distance disadvantage.
Guidelines and conditions for this program are straightforward and simple to download from our website, along with the application form, at:
nsw.cbca.org.au
First round applications for 2008 close on Friday, 20th June 2008, and may be faxed, posted or emailed to our office.
