Jacqueline Harvey whose picture book Sound of the Sea, illustrated by Warren C, Harvey, was an Honour Book in the Picture Book of the Year category in 2006.

Michelle Cooper’s book A Brief History of Montmaray, was Awarded the 2009 Ethel Turner Prize for Young People's Literature. It was shortlisted for the 2008 Golden Inky Teenage Choice Award and was a Recommended Book in the 2009 Parents' Choice Book Award. It was also Listed in the American Library Association's 2010 Best Books for Young Adults.
